In this sector, DMCC works mainly for grid operators (TSO, DNO) and for renewables’ operators, owners and developers. The sector of renewable energy includes converter-based generation at PV solar plants and wind farms.
At the level of TSO, we provide consultancy services on integration of large-scale renewables into UHV grid and on Master Planning for Transmission Network Development including Solar and Wind Power Integration.
DMCC assists DNO in some technical aspects and identifies an effect of medium size wind farms and PV-solar plants connection to distribution networks, including voltage fluctuation, network equipment overloading, reactive power compensation and Special Protection Schemes (SPS) operation for high level of renewables penetration.
